1.1. These Passenger Transportation Rules (hereinafter - the Rules) are developed in accordance with Article 102 of the Air Code of the Russian Federation and paragraph 4 of the Federal Aviation Rules "General Rules for Air Transportation of Passengers, Baggage, Cargo and Requirements for Passenger, Shipper, Consignee Services" approved by Order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation No. 82 dated 28.06.2007 (hereinafter - FAP-82).
1.2. The Rules apply to air transportation of passengers and baggage performed by Joint Stock Company “Smartavia Airlines” (hereinafter - the Airline) and are an integral part of the air carriage contract.
1.3. The terms of the air carriage contract are contained in the Air Code of the Russian Federation, the Rules, tariff application conditions and the transportation document.
1.4. The Rules establish the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the Airline and passengers using the Airline's services.
1.5. When concluding an air carriage contract, the Rules, tariffs and fees in effect on the date of issuance of the transportation document apply.
1.6. The Rules may be changed by the Airline without prior notice to Passengers, provided that the changes do not apply to Passengers after the conclusion of the air carriage contract.
1.7. For terms of the air carriage contract not regulated by the Rules, the provisions of FAP-82 apply.
1.8. Terms and abbreviations used in the Rules are given in Appendix 1.
2.1. Reservation of a passenger seat and cargo capacity on an aircraft for transportation of a Passenger and baggage on a specific flight and date (hereinafter - booking) is a mandatory condition for air transportation of a Passenger and baggage.
2.2. Booking of passenger and baggage air transportation can be made:
- on the official Airline website;
- in the Airline's call center;
- in the Airline's own sales offices and authorized ticket sales agencies;
- in ticket sales agencies.
2.3. The booking is reflected in the Airline's automated booking system with a unique number assigned to it. The booking contains information about the transportation, special services and Passenger data (last name, first name, patronymic, gender, date of birth, type and number of identity document).
2.4. When booking, the Passenger must indicate a mobile phone number and/or email address or other means of communication for notification of schedule changes and for communication.
The Airline informs the Passenger about changes in the aircraft schedule (flight cancellation, delay, change to an earlier departure time) by notification via mobile phone (oral, using a voice robot or SMS (short text message), or by sending a notification by email, or by sending a notification via Viber messenger, Telegram messenger, VKontakte social network.
The Passenger is considered properly informed about changes in the aircraft schedule from the moment of receiving the relevant notification (Article 165.1 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, paragraph 74 of the Federal Aviation Rules "General Rules for Air Transportation of Passengers, Baggage, Cargo and Requirements for Passenger, Shipper, Consignee Services" (approved by Order of the Ministry of Transport of Russia No. 82 dated 28.06.2007).
The Passenger confirms that the mobile phone number specified in the booking and/or when purchasing an air ticket from third parties actually belongs to the Passenger.
In case of purchasing an air ticket for the needs of a passenger/passengers by a third party (including but not limited to cases where an employer purchases an air ticket for sending an employee on a business trip, as well as during group transportation (athletes, musicians, children, tourists, etc.), the passenger is considered properly informed about changes in the aircraft schedule from the moment the person whose mobile phone number is specified in the booking and/or when purchasing the air ticket from third parties receives the relevant notification.
If the booking specifies a phone number that excludes the possibility of sending SMS (short text message), notification via Viber messenger, Telegram messenger, VKontakte social network (for example, a landline number is specified), as well as in case of specifying incorrect/incorrect any contact data, the Passenger bears the consequences of not receiving notifications sent to them. The Passenger is responsible for the consequences of not receiving notifications sent to them.
2.5. In case of booking a discounted transportation or transportation at a subsidized fare, the Passenger must provide documents confirming their identity and right to the discount when issuing the ticket.
2.6. In case of the Passenger's refusal to provide the information necessary for booking, the booking is not made.
2.7. The following transportation must be agreed with the Airline:
- Passenger with a child under 2 years old;
- unaccompanied minor Passenger or Passenger who, in accordance with the civil legislation of the Russian Federation, has acquired full legal capacity before reaching the age of eighteen, who will be transported under the supervision of the Airline;
- seriously ill Passenger;
- Passenger on a stretcher;
- visually impaired Passenger with a guide dog;
- Passenger whose mobility is limited when using air transport and/or whose condition requires special attention during service (passenger with reduced mobility);
- Passenger with weapons and/or ammunition;
- Passenger's baggage when concluding an air carriage contract providing for a free baggage allowance exceeding the free baggage allowance established by the Airline, or Passenger's baggage when concluding an air carriage contract that does not provide for a free baggage allowance (excess baggage);
- baggage, the dimensions of one piece of which in packaged form exceed two hundred and three centimeters in the sum of three dimensions (oversized baggage);
- baggage, the weight of one piece of which exceeds thirty kilograms (heavy baggage);
- baggage that must be transported only in the aircraft cabin;
- dogs, cats, birds and other small domestic (tamed) animals, service dogs of the canine service of federal executive authorities;
- animals, birds, insects, fish, etc. (livestock) not related to tamed domestic animals or birds;
- human remains and animal remains.
2.8. To coordinate a request for animal transportation, the Passenger must provide information about the type of animal, weight, breed (for a dog), and container size. The Passenger may be denied transportation of the animal if discrepancies are found in the information provided in the request.
2.9. The booking is canceled without warning the Passenger if the Passenger has not paid for the transportation within the period established by the Airline and the ticket has not been issued to them.
2.10. If the Passenger has not used the reserved passenger seat on any part of the transportation route, the Passenger informs the Airline of the intention to continue transportation on subsequent parts of the transportation route through any available communication channel:
- at the place of ticket purchase;
- in the Airline's own sales offices and authorized ticket sales agencies;
- through the Airline's call center;
- through the Airline's website;
- through social networks and messengers specified on the Airline's official website.
2.11. If the Passenger has not notified of the intention to continue transportation, the Airline has the right to cancel the booking on each subsequent part of the transportation route without notifying the Passenger. The Passenger's refusal of transportation on any part of the transportation route is recognized as a change in the transportation route and is carried out in the manner provided for changing the terms of the air carriage contract by the Passenger.
3.1. A carriage fee is charged for transportation of passengers and baggage on regular flights of the Airline.
3.2. The carriage fee is determined based on the monetary amount established by the Airline for transportation of a passenger and/or baggage between two points of the transportation route (hereinafter - tariffs) (see paragraph 5 of the Rules "Tariffs and Fees").
The carriage fee is indicated in the transportation document.
3.3. Payment for transportation and ticket issuance are made after booking, except for a number of cases specified below.
3.4. Payment for transportation and ticket issuance may be made before booking in cases:
- issuance of a ticket with an open departure date (without specifying a fixed date in the ticket);
- issuance of a ticket with a standby status for free cargo capacity (ticket with "on standby" status);
- issuance of a ticket in the presence of free cargo capacities after completion of passenger registration and baggage processing.
3.5. When paying for transportation of a Passenger and their baggage, the tariffs in effect on the date of commencement of transportation apply. If the tariffs are changed by the Airline before the commencement of transportation, transportation of passengers on tickets issued before the tariff change is carried out without recalculations with passengers, provided that the original terms of the air carriage contract are maintained.
3.6. In case of voluntary change by the Passenger of the terms of the air carriage contract before the commencement of transportation, the carriage fee is determined based on the tariffs in effect on the date of commencement of the new air transportation.
3.7. In case of voluntary change by the Passenger of the terms of the air carriage contract after the commencement of transportation, when changing the carriage fee, transportation is carried out at the tariffs in effect on the date of commencement of transportation.
3.8. The confirmation of payment for transportation is the itinerary receipt of the electronic air ticket.
4.1. Transportation documents include: ticket, baggage receipt, miscellaneous charges order, receipt for payment of excess baggage, miscellaneous charges receipt, electronic multipurpose document.
4.2. Transportation documents are issued by the Airline or Authorized Agent.
4.3. A separate ticket is issued for each Passenger.
4.4. The ticket is issued based on the data of the identity document of the passenger, required in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation for transportation of the passenger along the route provided for by the air carriage contract. The ticket data must fully correspond to the data of the document used to issue the ticket.
4.5. When selling discounted transportation or transportation at a special fare, the ticket is issued based on the data of the identity document and documents confirming the passenger's right to the discount or application of the special fare.
4.6. Issuance of tickets for the Airline's flights is carried out on the basis of the identity document of the Passenger, which include:
- passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation;
- foreign passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation;
- diplomatic passport;
- service passport;
- birth certificate for persons under 14 years of age;
- military ID;
- temporary identity card issued by internal affairs bodies;
- military ID for military personnel undergoing military service by conscription or contract;
- certificate of release for persons released from places of deprivation of liberty;
- national passport (for foreigners);
- residence permit (for stateless persons).
4.7. In case the Passenger intends to present when registering for the flight a different identity document than the one on the basis of which the ticket was issued, the Passenger applies in advance before passing the flight registration to the Airline or to the Authorized Agent to make changes to the ticket and to the automated booking system concerning the identity document, and the Airline or authorized agent take actions to make the specified changes.
4.8. Use of the ticket by a person not specified in the ticket is not allowed.
5.1. The monetary amount for transportation of a Passenger and/or baggage between two points (hereinafter - tariff) and tariff application conditions are established by the Airline in accordance with the Rules for the Formation and Application of Tariffs for Regular Air Transportation of Passengers and Baggage, Collection of Fees in the Field of Civil Aviation, approved by Order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation No. 155 dated September 25, 2008.
5.2. For transportation between two points of one passenger and their baggage within the free baggage allowance, a passenger tariff is established.
For transportation between two points of a unit of weight/piece of baggage, a baggage tariff is established.
5.3. The passenger tariff includes expenses related to ensuring and performing the transportation of the Passenger, including expenses for booking, processing of calculations and transportation documents (except for fees for operations on cancellation of booking, calculation of amounts subject to refund, processing of refunds and fees for operations on changing the terms of the air carriage contract), for passenger service at airports, on board the aircraft, in case of flight delays, flight cancellations, change of transportation route, other expenses in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, international treaties of the Russian Federation, legislation of the country of departure, destination and transit and the rules of the Airline.
5.4. The baggage tariff includes expenses related to ensuring and performing the transportation of baggage not included in the free baggage allowance, including expenses for booking, processing of calculations and transportation documents, for processing of baggage not included in the free baggage allowance at airports, other expenses in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, international treaties of the Russian Federation, legislation of the country of departure, destination and transit and the rules of the Airline.
5.5. Several passenger tariffs differing in level and/or tariff application conditions may be established between two points.
5.6. The number of passenger seats offered for booking transportation by tariff levels is determined by the Airline.
5.7. Changes in tariffs or Rules do not affect the terms of the concluded air carriage contract.
5.8. When processing transportation, the tariffs, fees and tariff application conditions established on the date of commencement of transportation apply.
5.9. The Passenger has the right to change the transportation route, unless otherwise specified by the tariff application conditions.
5.10. The tariff validity period is established by the Airline. The tariff effective date is the first date on which transportation paid at the tariff can begin, the tariff expiration date is the last date on which transportation paid at the tariff can begin.
5.11. If the Passenger changes the transportation conditions (change of route, or date, or departure time), and the tariff changes, then a new ticket is issued at the tariff corresponding to the new transportation. The tariff for the changed transportation is calculated in accordance with the rules for recalculating the tariff associated with the change of route. If the tariff for the changed transportation is higher, the additional payment amount is calculated as the difference between the tariff for the changed transportation and the initial tariff, including all necessary fees.
The corresponding difference is charged to the Passenger. If the changed tariff is less than the initial one, the difference in tariffs is not refunded to the Passenger.
5.12. The Airline may refuse to transport the Passenger and baggage if payment has not been made according to the corresponding tariff.
5.13. Airport, state and other fees established on international flights, Airline fees and ticket form fees are included in the air ticket price and are also paid by the Passenger.
6.1. Making changes to the Booking, including payment for Baggage (if applicable), seat selection in the aircraft cabin and adding other additional services, is possible:
- through the call center of the Airline;
- in the Airline's own sales offices and authorized ticket sales agencies;
- on the official website of the Airline;
- during online check-in for the flight (no earlier than 24 hours and no later than 3 hours before the flight departure time);
- at the check-in counters at the departure airport.
6.2. A specific seat in the aircraft cabin is assigned when registering the additional service "Seat Selection" or during flight check-in.
6.3. Changing the seat on board the aircraft at the initiative of the Passenger is possible for an additional fee until the end of flight check-in or on board the aircraft after the completion of boarding (availability can be checked with the flight attendant). Unauthorized seat changes on board the aircraft are not allowed. The Passenger must remain in their assigned seat indicated on the boarding pass during the flight.
6.4. In the interests of flight safety, crew members have the right at any time to change passenger seating in the aircraft cabin, including if the condition of the Passenger occupying a seat near the emergency exit does not allow ensuring the evacuation of passengers and crew members from the aircraft in emergency situations.
6.5. In the interests of flight safety, passengers of special categories are not seated:
Near the emergency exit:
- children from 2 to 12 years old, regardless of the presence of accompanying persons;
- persons under 18 years old directly in the seat at the emergency exit;
- passengers with infants under 2 years old;
- pregnant women;
- passengers whose mental and/or physical condition does not allow them to quickly understand the crew's instructions and/or perform the necessary actions in case of emergency evacuation;
- passengers accepted for transportation under guard;
- passengers traveling with pets in the aircraft cabin;
- passengers who have been denied entry into the country by the Airline or authorities, or denied further transportation at the transit point, as well as deported passengers (regardless of the presence of accompanying persons);
- passengers with baggage in the cabin CBBG (Cabin Baggage - seat purchased for baggage);
- employees of the courier service and special communications service transporting official correspondence;
- passengers who require an extension belt (large passengers).
On seats in the first row:
- passengers with baggage that is transported on a separate seat in the aircraft cabin;
- passengers traveling with pets in the aircraft cabin;
- employees of the courier service and special communications service transporting official correspondence.
6.6. The Airline provides catering services. The service is paid, available for pre-order (ordering is possible no later than 24 hours before departure) or as a paid mini-bar menu on board the aircraft.
6.7. Passengers with disabilities and other persons with disabilities when purchasing a ticket notify the Airline of their existing disabilities, as well as the characteristics of individual mobility aids (if used) in any of the following ways:
- in the Airline's own sales offices and authorized ticket sales agencies;
- through the call center of the Airline;
- on the website of the Airline;
- through social networks and messengers specified on the Airline's official website.
7.1.1. Online check-in is available on the Airline's website https://flysmartavia.com (Online services - Flight Check-in) no earlier than 24 hours and no later than 3 hours before departure.
7.1.2. It is recommended to print the boarding pass in advance for presentation at the airport.
At the airport, you can also print the boarding pass at the check-in counter until the end of check-in.
At some airports:
- a service is provided for printing boarding passes at universal self-service printing machines;
- you can use an electronic boarding pass on a mobile device (when using an electronic boarding pass, take into account the need to present it at the boarding gate and when entering the aircraft).
7.1.3. For baggage transportation for a Passenger who has completed online check-in, it is necessary to contact the check-in counter or baggage drop-off counter (Drop-Off) until the end of flight check-in.
7.1.4. Online check-in is not available for the following categories of passengers:
- unaccompanied children;
- passengers with reduced mobility who require an escort service on the aircraft;
- passengers with disabilities;
- passengers transporting animals.
7.2.1. Airport check-in starts no later than 2 hours before departure and ends 40 minutes before flight departure.
7.2.2. Unaccompanied children are checked in for the flight only at the check-in counter at the departure airport.
7.2.3. Passengers with disabilities and other persons with disabilities who require escort are checked in for the flight only at the check-in counter at the departure airport.
7.2.4. Passengers transporting animals are checked in for the flight only at the check-in counter at the departure airport.
7.2.5. A Passenger who is late for the end of check-in time is not allowed to fly. In the absence of flight delay risks and other factors, the Airline Representative may reopen check-in for late passengers. This service is provided for a fee.
8.1 The Passenger has the right to refuse carriage in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation. If the Passenger does not use the reserved seat on any segment of the carriage route, the Passenger must inform the Airline of the intention to continue carriage on subsequent segments of the route through any available communication channel:
- at the place of ticket purchase;
- in the Airline's own sales offices and authorized ticket agencies;
- via the call center of the Airline;
- via the website of the Airline;
- via social networks and messengers listed on the official website of the Airline.
8.2 The Airline has the right to cancel, delay the flight specified in the ticket, replace the aircraft, change the carriage route if required by flight safety conditions and/or transport (aviation) security, as well as at the request of state authorities in accordance with their competence.
8.3 The Airline may unilaterally terminate the air carriage contract in the following cases:
- violation by the Passenger of passport, customs, sanitary, and other requirements established by the legislation of the Russian Federation regarding air carriage;
- refusal of the Passenger to comply with the requirements of the federal aviation regulations;
- if the Passenger's health condition requires special air carriage conditions or threatens the safety of the Passenger or other persons, as confirmed by medical documents, or causes disorder and unavoidable inconvenience to other persons;
- refusal of the Passenger to pay for the carriage of baggage under the terms and conditions provided for by the air carriage contract;
- violation by the Passenger of the rules of conduct on board the aircraft, creating a threat to flight safety, or a threat to the life or health of other persons, as well as failure to comply with the orders of the aircraft commander;
- presence of items or substances prohibited for air carriage in the Passenger's belongings or baggage;
- and in other cases established by the current legislation of the Russian Federation.
8.4 The procedure for refunding the fare to the Passenger in case of voluntary refusal of carriage is determined in accordance with the rules and conditions of the applicable fare.
8.5 The refund of the fare is made at the place of payment for carriage in accordance with the rules of fare application.
8.6 A fee for the Passenger's refusal to fly is charged in case of termination of the air carriage contract due to the Passenger's voluntary refusal of the entire carriage or part of the carriage in accordance with the conditions of the applicable fare.
9.1.1 In addition to the free hand luggage allowance and without additional charge, the Passenger may carry the following items as hand luggage:
- a backpack with dimensions of 30×25×7 cm and weighing up to 3 kg, or a handbag, or a briefcase with items placed inside the backpack, bag, or briefcase;
- goods purchased in duty-free shops at the airport, packed in a sealed (secured) plastic bag, with dimensions of 30×25×7 cm and weighing up to 2 kg;
- medications, special dietary needs in quantities required for the duration of the flight;
- a bouquet of flowers;
- an umbrella or a cane umbrella (not a beach umbrella);
- outerwear;
- baby food for the child during the flight;
- a suit in a garment bag. The garment bag with the suit does not contain additional internal items. Carrying any other items in the garment bag besides the suit is not allowed;
- a child carrying device (infant cradle, child restraint systems for children under two years old, stroller, and other devices) when carrying a child, with dimensions corresponding to the hand luggage norms and allowing safe placement in the aircraft cabin on the shelf above the passenger seat or under the seat in front of the passenger seat;
- crutches, canes, walkers, rollators, folding wheelchairs used by the Passenger and with dimensions allowing safe placement in the aircraft cabin on the shelf above the passenger seat or under the seat in front of the passenger seat;
- a laptop in a case/bag, without a case/bag, with dimensions not exceeding 55×40×7 cm.
9.1.2 Additionally, the following items are allowed in the aircraft cabin, one item per category:
- a bag with food (you can bring a bag with food purchased after pre-flight screening to snack during the flight);
- photo or video equipment (one set with dimensions not exceeding 40×30×20 cm);
- a soft toy, doll, toy car (toy dimensions not exceeding 55×40×20 cm. Free only for passengers under 12 years old).
9.1.3 Hand luggage must fit freely and effortlessly into a special metal compartment - a sizing device, with the lid closing completely and effortlessly.
9.1.3 Hand luggage dimensions are checked twice. First at the check-in counters, and a second check is performed at the boarding gate. Dimension control in the boarding area is carried out before scanning the boarding pass.
9.1.4 If hand luggage exceeds the dimensions of 40×30×20 cm or weighs more than 10 kg, such hand luggage is carried for an additional fee.
9.1.5 Hand luggage allowances for multiple traveling Passengers are not combined.
9.1.6 Hand luggage exceeding the weight and/or dimensions established above must be checked in as baggage in accordance with the terms of the air carriage contract.
9.1.7 A folding wheelchair with dimensions that do not allow safe placement in the aircraft cabin is checked in as baggage free of charge, i.e., in addition to the established allowance.
9.1.8 Strollers only when carrying a child (including strollers folding like an "umbrella"), with dimensions not corresponding to the hand luggage norms and not allowing safe placement in the aircraft cabin, are checked in as baggage during registration in addition to the established free baggage allowance.
9.1.9 To ensure transport (aviation) security, the following items are prohibited in the aircraft cabin on the Airline's flights:
- corkscrews;
- knitting needles;
- scissors;
- any knives.
The complete list of items and substances prohibited for carriage in registered baggage and hand luggage is specified in Appendix 2 of the Rules.
Musical instruments can be transported in both the baggage compartment and the passenger cabin of the aircraft.
In the passenger cabin, musical instruments are transported as hand luggage without additional charge under the following conditions:
- the Passenger transporting the musical instrument does not have additional hand luggage;
- the dimensions of the musical instruments do not exceed 40×30×20 cm and the weight does not exceed the hand luggage allowance under the fare.
If the Passenger has additional hand luggage besides the musical instrument or if the established dimensions are exceeded, the musical instruments are transported in the baggage compartment as registered baggage (according to the fare conditions).
As hand luggage with the provision of an additional passenger seat in the aircraft cabin, provided the "Cabin baggage" service is purchased.
The service can be purchased together with the air ticket.
Ordering and payment for an additional seat is possible:
- in the Airline's own sales offices and authorized ticket agencies;
- via the call center of the Airline;
- via the feedback form on the website of the Airline;
- via social networks and messengers listed on the official website of the Airline.
When purchasing an additional seat by the Passenger, the registered baggage allowance is not increased.
The Passenger's baggage does not exceed 203 cm in the sum of three dimensions and weighs no more than 32 kg.
In certain cases, baggage weighing from 32 to 50 kg and exceeding 203 cm in the sum of three dimensions may be accepted. The carriage of such baggage must be agreed upon in advance with the Airline:
- in the Airline's own sales offices and authorized ticket agencies;
- via the call center of the Airline;
- via the feedback form on the website of the Airline;
- via social networks and messengers listed on the official website of the Airline.
In the absence of prior agreement and confirmation by the Airline for the carriage of these categories of baggage, the Airline reserves the right to refuse the Passenger their carriage.
The packaging of baggage weighing more than 32 kg must allow handling by two loaders. Such baggage is marked with a HEAVY tag (if available) indicating the weight.
Oversized baggage is transported to the assembly area manually.
Oversized and heavy baggage is loaded onto the aircraft using apron mechanization.
Items exceeding 203 cm in dimensions or weighing 50 kg are accepted for carriage only as cargo.
The carriage of weapons - sporting, hunting, military, and spare parts for them, as well as ammunition, is only permitted if the Passenger has a permit to store, carry, and use the respective types, models, and categories of weapons, or licenses to purchase, collect, or exhibit weapons, and a travel order (assignment) with a note about the presence of weapons.
Pneumatic devices with muzzle energy exceeding 3 J are classified as civilian weapons and are transported in the same manner as other weapons. When transporting pneumatic weapons with muzzle energy exceeding 7.5 J and caliber exceeding 4.5 mm, a permit to carry and store is required.

Weapons, ammunition, and special means that are permitted for transportation are registered, inspected, and transported in packaged form in the baggage-cargo compartments of the aircraft.
A unit of weapons and ammunition is considered as one piece and is included in the free registered baggage allowance. If the fare in the air ticket belongs to the "Light" group, the payment is calculated at the rate of an additional piece for excess baggage.
For carriage as registered baggage, one Passenger may carry weapons not exceeding 5 units, cartridges not exceeding 1000 pieces, weighing no more than 5 kg. Cartridges weighing more than 5 kg are only permitted for carriage as dangerous goods.
Transportation of weapons belonging to citizens is carried out in cases, holsters, or special containers, as well as in special packaging from the weapon manufacturer (for foreign citizens, transportation of weapons imported into the territory of the Russian Federation for hunting and participation in sporting events is carried out in lockable cases).
The carriage of ammunition with explosive or incendiary bullets, cartridges for gas weapons, as well as devices filled with tear or irritant substances, on board civil aircraft is prohibited.
Electroshock devices and spark dischargers of domestic production are classified as civilian weapons and are transported in the same manner as other weapons. When transporting electroshock devices, it is necessary to have a document with technical characteristics to verify the compliance of the device's output parameters with the established state standards of the Russian Federation. The circulation of electroshock devices produced outside Russia is prohibited, and accordingly, their transportation is also prohibited.
Weapons of Passengers traveling on transfer from foreign countries through one Russian airport to another are registered up to the initial landing airport on the territory of the Russian Federation. Registration, delivery, and loading of weapons of such Passengers on board the aircraft are carried out in accordance with Chapter II of Order No. 275 of the Ministry of Transport dated 16.08.2021.
Weapons of Passengers traveling on transfer from one Russian airport through another to a foreign country are registered up to the transfer airport on the territory of the Russian Federation. At the transfer airport, registration, delivery, and loading of weapons of such Passengers on board the aircraft are carried out in accordance with Chapter III of Order No. 275 of the Ministry of Transport dated 16.08.2021.
9.5.1. Responsibility when transporting animals
9.5.1.1. Airline's responsibility:
- The Airline is not responsible for any deterioration in the animal's health that may occur before, during, or after the flight.
- The Airline is not responsible if the destination or transit country prohibits the entry or transit of the animal.
- The Airline may refuse to transport an animal if the Passenger does not have a confirmed air ticket reservation and if the Passenger refuses to pay for the animal's transportation.
9.5.1.2. Passenger's responsibility:
- The Passenger must comply with all requirements of the Airline and veterinary control authorities that apply to the transportation of animals on board the aircraft.
- The Passenger will compensate the Airline for all damages and additional expenses if any emergency situation arises during the flight due to the Passenger's violation of the animal transportation rules.
9.5.2. Transportation of animals is carried out in accordance with the requirements of LAR.
9.5.3. Dogs, cats, birds, and other small domestic (tamed) animals are accepted for transportation only when accompanied by a Passenger aged 12 years or older and with prior agreement with the Airline:
- at the place of ticket purchase;
- in the Airline's own sales offices and authorized ticket agencies;
- via the call center of the Airline;
- via the feedback form on the website of the Airline;
- via social networks and messengers listed on the official website of the Airline.
9.5.4. When transporting domestic animals (birds), the Passenger provides documents provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation, international treaties, and the legislation of the country to, from, or through whose territory the transportation is carried out. Information on the import and export of animals can be found on the websites of the relevant state authorities of Russia and destination countries.
9.5.5. The following are not accepted for transportation as baggage (in the cabin and in the baggage compartment of the aircraft): arthropods, reptiles, rodents; fish and fish planting material, marine and river animals requiring transportation in water; animals and birds that are not domestic tamed (taken from the wild), large predators, which in their natural habitat are representatives of wild fauna; sick and experimental animals/birds; animals whose weight together with the container exceeds 50 kg.
9.5.6. The weight of the container (cage/carrier) together with the animal when transported in the cabin of the aircraft or on a passenger seat must not exceed 12 kg. Placing 2 or more animals in one container (cage/carrier) is not allowed, except in cases of prior individual agreement with the Airline. The overall size of the container (cage/carrier) does not exceed 115 cm in the sum of three dimensions, allowing the container with the animal (cage/carrier) to be placed under the seat in front.
9.5.7. Domestic animals (birds) during transportation, both in the cabin of the aircraft and in the baggage compartments of the aircraft, are placed in a lockable container (cage/carrier).
The container (cage/carrier) is made of hard plastic, fiberglass, metal, welded mesh, solid wood, or plywood. When transporting an animal in the cabin of the aircraft, a container (cage/carrier) made of dense fabric is allowed.
The container (cage/carrier) is large enough for the animal to stand in it in a natural position, as well as to lie down and turn around, both when transporting the animal in the cabin of the aircraft and in the BGO of the aircraft.
The container (cage/carrier) is clean, odor-free, has a reliable locking device that prevents spontaneous opening, and has ventilation holes. The holes are small enough so that the animal cannot injure itself by sticking any part of its body through them, and guarantees protection from bites and scratches by the animal.
The bottom of the container (cage/carrier) is solid, moisture-proof, covered with non-toxic absorbent material, and has a rim around the perimeter of the bottom to prevent spillage of the absorbent material. The lid of the container is solid, but ventilation holes or welded mesh over the entire surface are allowed, provided that they do not reduce the tightness of the container and the strength of the lid itself, both when transporting the animal in the cabin of the aircraft and in the BGO of the aircraft.
The door of the container is made of plastic, wood, plywood, welded or cast metal of sufficient thickness so that the animal cannot bend or deform the door. The door can be sliding or hinged. For all containers using doors with locking pins, the pins must engage with the container by at least 1.6 mm. When using rigid plastic containers, the door is additionally secured with removable fasteners, such as cable ties at the four corners of the door frame. The fastening must not harm the animal or service personnel.
The container (cage/carrier) is equipped with handles for convenient transportation. If the weight of the cage with the animal exceeds 23 kg, there must be at least 2 handles.
9.5.8. Domestic (tamed) animals and birds are accepted for transportation provided that the Passenger assumes full responsibility for them. The Airline is not responsible for bodily injury, loss, delay in delivery, illness, or death of such animals and birds, as well as in case of refusal to allow their import or transit through any country or territory.
9.5.9. Brachycephalic dog breeds (with a shortened facial part of the skull: pugs, Pekingese, Shih Tzu, boxers, griffons, bulldogs, etc.) due to their sensitivity to temperature changes and stress are allowed for transportation only in the cabin of the aircraft as hand luggage in accordance with the rules for transporting animals in the cabin of the aircraft. Transportation of the specified dog breeds as baggage and cargo is prohibited. For the transportation of animals of the specified breeds, the Passenger must fill out a Release of Liability when Transporting Live Animals (Appendix 4 of the Rules). Before departure, the completed guarantee is handed over to the Airline Representative.
9.5.10. Conditions for transporting animals in the BGO of the aircraft:
- plastic containers: If the containers are assembled from lower and upper parts, they are securely connected with bolts. Using only plastic clamps to connect the lower and upper parts is not allowed;
- wooden containers: For a container made of wood or plywood, the minimum wall thickness is 12 mm for dogs and 6 mm for cats;
- the thickness of the welded mesh is at least 2.5 mm for dogs and 2.0 mm or more for cats;
- for transporting animals in the baggage compartment, the Passenger must fill out a Release of Liability when Transporting Live Animals (Appendix 4 of the Rules).
9.5.11. Conditions for transporting animals in the cabin of the aircraft:
9.5.10.1. The container (cage/carrier) with the bird is covered with a dense lightproof fabric.
9.5.10.2. When transporting an animal/bird in the cabin of the aircraft during takeoff, landing, and passing through turbulence, the cage is safely placed under the seat in front or on the seat as directed by the flight attendant and does not interfere with the comfort or service of other passengers.
9.5.10.3. The weight of the domestic animal (bird) and service dog, the weight of the container (cage/carrier), and food intended for feeding the animal (bird) are not included in the free baggage allowance and are paid by the Passenger in accordance with the tariff established by the Airline. In case of arranging the transportation of an animal in a passenger seat in the cabin of the aircraft, payment of the tariff for transporting the animal is not required. In case of agreement by the Airline for the placement and transportation of two or more animals in one cage, payment for the transportation of the animal is made for each animal separately.
9.5.10.4. Passengers transporting an animal in the passenger cabin of the aircraft are provided with seats in accordance with the aircraft layout. It is prohibited to place them in the emergency exit area, near kitchens and toilets, near partitions, in the same block of seats with passengers with children or with other passengers transporting animals, except in cases where the animals live in the family (their transportation is requested in one booking).
9.5.10.5. The transportation of a service dog in the cabin of the aircraft with the consent of the Airline is carried out upon presentation to the Airline of a document confirming that the Passenger accompanying the service dog is an employee of the canine service of the federal executive authority, and a document confirming the special training of the service dog.
The service dog transported in the cabin of the aircraft has a collar and muzzle and is tied to the seat at the feet of the Passenger accompanying it.
Payment for the transportation of the service dog is regulated by the internal documents of the Airline (contracts, orders, etc.)
The transportation of service dogs whose dimensions do not comply with the norms established by the Airline for transporting animals in the cabin of the aircraft is carried out only in the BGO of the aircraft.
9.5.10.6. A guide dog accompanying a visually impaired Passenger is transported free of charge in addition to the established free hand luggage allowance, without weight restrictions, upon presentation of a document confirming the disability of the visually impaired Passenger and a document confirming the special training of the guide dog. The guide dog has a collar and muzzle and is tied to the seat at the feet of the Passenger it accompanies. Passengers traveling with a guide dog are provided with seats at the end of the aircraft cabin (except for seats near emergency exits and in the block of seats near the cabin partitions).
9.6.1 Ski Equipment
A passenger may transport one set of ski equipment in a case as checked baggage, weighing no more than 23 kg.
The ski equipment set includes: skis, poles, boots, a helmet, or a snowboard, poles, boots, a helmet, for tickets issued under baggage tariffs. All items must be packed in one common or two separate cases.
Under the "Smart Light" fare group, ski equipment is transported for a fee.
9.6.2 Bicycle
The transportation of bicycles is permitted as checked baggage under the following conditions:
- the bicycle is properly packed in a special cardboard box or protective film to prevent movement of the front fork;
- the handlebars are secured to the bicycle;
- the pedals are detached;
- no more than 2 items (frame + separately packed wheels) are counted as one.
9.6.3 Scooter
A scooter can be carried as hand luggage if it has a folding mechanism, packaging, or a case and complies with the approved weight and dimensions of the fare for which the ticket was purchased. Transporting a scooter as hand luggage is free of charge within the established hand luggage allowance.
9.6.4 Hockey Equipment
A case with equipment + a case with 2 sticks or a pair of skates, no more than 2 items, is counted as one and is included in the free baggage allowance.
9.6.5 Golf Equipment
Golf equipment packed in one case (one item) is included in the free baggage allowance.
9.6.6 Fishing Equipment
Fishing rods, spinning rods, and other fishing equipment are included in the free baggage allowance (size restrictions for the sum of three dimensions are ignored). For fares that do not include a free baggage allowance, transportation is subject to a fee (size restrictions for the sum of three dimensions are ignored).
9.6.7 Other Sports Equipment (including helmets, sports and motorcycle helmets)
Counted as one item and included in the free hand luggage and/or baggage allowance.
If the total number of baggage items exceeds the allowance specified in the ticket, or if the weight and/or size of the equipment exceeds the established norms for one item of free hand luggage and/or baggage, the "Sports Equipment" baggage tariff will apply to the above items.
9.7.1 Baggage allowance is determined by the current regulations of the Russian Federation and international law, as well as the current rules of the Airline.

9.7.2 For children under 2 years of age without a separate seat, the free checked baggage allowance is 1 piece weighing no more than 10 kg and with the sum of three measurements not exceeding 115 cm.
9.7.3 At the request of passengers traveling together for the same purpose to the same destination or stopover on the same flight (family members, traveling companions, or those on a business trip), and when such passengers conclude an air carriage contract providing for a free baggage allowance, baggage may be combined, taking into account the sum of the free baggage allowances by weight for each passenger.
9.7.4 If passengers purchase tickets with tariffs that do not include a free baggage allowance, and provided such passengers pay for baggage according to the baggage tariff established by the Airline, the Airline may, at the passengers' request, combine the baggage weight provided by the baggage tariff.
9.7.5 Combining baggage allowance and paid baggage for one passenger is prohibited.
9.7.6 After the Airline applies the combined free baggage allowance for passengers traveling together (1 piece not exceeding 30 kg), any remaining baggage is accepted for carriage with payment according to the baggage tariffs.
9.7.7 Hand luggage and checked baggage allowances cannot be combined.
9.7.8 The weight of one combined baggage piece must not exceed 30 kg, with dimensions of 203 cm in the sum of three measurements, and is accepted for carriage without additional charges.
9.7.9 When combining the baggage allowance for an infant under 2 years of age with the baggage allowance of an adult passenger (baggage allowance per ticket or purchased), the permissible size of the combined baggage is 203 cm in the sum of three measurements.
9.7.10 For certain routes/flights/tariff offers/passenger categories, the Airline reserves the right to modify the standard free baggage and hand luggage allowances, either increasing or decreasing them.
9.7.11 During check-in, the passenger presents for weighing all items being transported, except for items that may be needed during boarding, disembarking, and in flight.
9.7.12 Each piece of checked baggage must have intact packaging ensuring its safety during transportation and handling, preventing access to the contents of the bag and the possibility of harm to passengers, crew members, third parties, damage to the aircraft, other passengers' baggage, or other property.
Baggage that does not meet the requirements of this clause will not be accepted for carriage.
Baggage with external damage that does not affect its safety during transportation and handling and cannot harm passengers, crew members, third parties, damage the aircraft, other passengers' baggage, or other property may be accepted for carriage as checked baggage with the Airline's approval:
- at the place of ticket purchase;
- in the Airline's own sales offices and authorized ticket sales agencies;
- through the Airline's call center;
- through the feedback form on the Airline's website;
- through social networks and messengers listed on the official website of the Airline.
9.8.1. A passenger has the right to declare the value of their checked baggage both at the point of departure and at any intermediate point along the transportation route. Additionally, the passenger has the right to increase the amount of a previously declared baggage value.
9.8.2. A fee, established by the Airline's tariff application rules, is charged for declaring the value of baggage. The declared value must not exceed the actual value of the baggage. The value of checked baggage is declared for each piece of baggage separately.
9.8.3. The fee for the declared value of checked baggage is paid at the point where the value is declared and is certified by a receipt for payment of excess baggage or a miscellaneous charges order, indicating the points between which the passenger has requested the carriage of baggage with declared value. If the passenger declares a higher value for their baggage at an intermediate point along the transportation route compared to the previously declared value, they must pay an additional fee.
9.8.4. When a passenger declares the value of baggage being handed over for carriage, the Airline has the right to require the passenger to present the contents of the baggage for inspection and, in case of an obvious discrepancy between the declared value and the contents of the baggage, to establish its actual value.
9.8.5. The passenger must provide proof of the checked baggage's value (invoice, price list, receipt, or other document) for which the value is declared. In the absence of the necessary proof of the declared value, the Airline has the right to refuse to carry baggage with the declared value as indicated by the passenger.
9.8.6. To establish the actual value of the baggage, the Airline has the right to form a commission consisting of the Airline's representative, the airport's shift supervisor, the registration duty officer, the senior baggage handler, or a loader.
9.8.7. All items accepted for carriage as baggage with declared value are in good condition, securely packed. The weight and dimensions of valuable baggage do not exceed the established baggage allowance norms. The Airline has the right to refuse to accept checked baggage with declared value if the baggage packaging is deemed not to meet the requirements of the Rules or if the baggage requires special precautions during carriage.
The Airline, when providing onboard service:
- informs passengers about flight conditions and Rules of passenger conduct onboard the aircraft (clause 13 of the Rules), as well as about the location of main and emergency exits, conditions for leaving the aircraft in emergency situations, and the location of emergency rescue equipment in the aircraft cabin;
- provides passengers with cold drinking water (hot water - if the passenger has their own thermos) and, if necessary, first aid;
- provides first aid in case of injury or illness during the flight.
11.1 In the case of providing passengers with additional services not specified in the Rules and the conditions of tariff application, the Airline acts solely as an agent of a third party. Such services are provided by the third party.
11.2 In the case of additional services being provided by a third party, the Airline issues a transportation document/voucher for the transportation performed by the third party or for other services different from air transportation.
12.1. Passenger claims demanding financial compensation are written applications with the necessary supporting documents attached.
12.2. The right to file claims against the Airline belongs to an individual (Passenger) or a legal entity representing the Passenger's interests in accordance with the law.
12.3. If a claim is filed by another person on behalf of the Passenger, a copy of the document confirming the authority to act on behalf of the Passenger must be attached to the claim.
12.4. Claims against the Airline demanding financial compensation are accepted in written form, sent to the Airline's postal address: 163053, Arkhangelsk Region, Arkhangelsk, Talazhsky Aviation Town, Airport Arkhangelsk Street, or electronically.
12.5. A claim is accepted for consideration if the applicant complies with the filing deadline:
12.5.1. For domestic transportation, a claim against the Airline may be filed by the Passenger within six months. This period is calculated:
- for claims for compensation for damage due to loss or damage to baggage, as well as for delay in baggage delivery - from the day following the day of their issuance;
- in all other cases - from the day of the event that served as the basis for filing the claim.
12.5.2. For international transportation within the following deadlines:
- for damaged baggage - within 7 calendar days from the day of receiving the baggage and no later;
- in case of delay in baggage delivery - within 21 calendar days from the date the baggage was issued to the Passenger or the person entitled to receive it;
- in case of lost baggage - within 18 months from the day the aircraft arrived at the destination or from the day it should have arrived, or from the day the air transportation was terminated;
- in all other cases - from the day of the event that served as the basis for filing the claim.
12.6. List of documents to be attached to the claim:
12.6.1. For delay/loss of baggage:
- boarding pass (optional);
- baggage tag or commercial act (optional);
- certificate of non-arrival of baggage or baggage search application (required). The baggage search application/Certificate of non-arrival of baggage is issued at the airport on the day of arrival. In the absence of these documents, the claim will not be considered;
- application for transferring funds (required).
12.6.2. For damaged baggage:
- baggage tag or commercial act (optional);
- boarding pass (optional);
- commercial act (required). The commercial act for damaged/missing baggage is issued before leaving the airport terminal on the day of arrival. In the absence of a commercial act, the claim will not be considered in accordance with clause 1, article 124 of the Air Code of the Russian Federation;
- information about the weight of the empty suitcase (required);
- application for transferring funds (required).
12.6.3. For flight delay/cancellation:
- itinerary receipt;
- other documents confirming expenses for the stated claims (hotel payment, meals, transportation on another vehicle, etc.);
- full bank account details of the Passenger for transferring monetary compensation.
12.6.4. For ticket/service refund and compensation for expenses/losses for other reasons. Claims are accepted if the Passenger (authorized person) cannot apply for a refund of amounts for unused transportation/service at the place of payment:
- itinerary receipt (air ticket);
- documents confirming payment for additional services;
- other documents confirming the need for ticket/service refund;
- originals or duly certified copies of documents confirming the amount of damage (cash and sales receipts, payment receipts, expert reports, etc.);
- application for transferring funds with attached details.
12.7. The inability to provide originals and copies must be confirmed or evident from the claim materials. Receipts, payment slips, and other documents submitted for reimbursement of incurred losses must be attached without fail.
12.8. The response time to a claim is 30 days from the date of receipt. The response is sent to the email address if available; otherwise, it is sent to the postal address.
12.9. A claim will not be considered in the following cases:
- the claim does not contain information about the addressee (full name, postal or email address, contact phone number);
- the claim text is illegible;
- the Passenger has already received a written response to a similar claim, and no new arguments or circumstances are provided in the application;
- the claim contains obscene or offensive language, threats to the life, health, or property of the Airline's employees or their family members;
- the claim does not contain specific demands regarding the fact of harm caused.
13.1. Passengers have the right to:
- demand the provision of all services stipulated by the terms of the air carriage contract;
- in case their life, health, honor, and dignity are threatened - appeal to the Airline's employees, law enforcement representatives, and demand that they take measures for protection.
13.2. Passengers are obliged to:
- undergo pre-flight screening, baggage, and hand luggage inspection before boarding the aircraft;
- unquestioningly comply with the justified demands of ground service employees, the aircraft commander, and the recommendations of other crew members;
- observe the rules for transporting baggage and hand luggage;
- take care of the safety of hand luggage and items carried in the aircraft cabin, and upon disembarking - take with them all hand luggage and items placed onboard the aircraft;
- maintain discipline and order.
13.3. Passengers are prohibited from:
- transporting on the aircraft as baggage items that may cause harm to the aircraft, persons, or property onboard the aircraft, animals and birds (except for pets (birds) and service dogs), insects, fish stocking material, reptiles, rodents, experimental and sick animals, as well as items and substances whose air transportation as baggage is prohibited by the legislation of the Russian Federation, international treaties of the Russian Federation, and the legislation of the country to, from, or through whose territory the transportation is carried out;
- creating situations that threaten the life, health, honor, and dignity of other passengers, as well as aviation personnel, allowing any verbal abuse, threats, and especially physical violence against them;
- creating conditions that hinder employees from performing their duties and preventing the servicing of other passengers;
- being in a state of intoxication, consuming alcoholic beverages brought onboard the aircraft, except those offered by the crew;
- smoking onboard the aircraft during the entire flight;
- creating uncomfortable conditions for other passengers;
- damaging property belonging to the Airline, using it for personal purposes, removing it from the aircraft;
- using emergency rescue equipment without appropriate instructions from the crew;
- independently moving to seats not indicated on the boarding pass, except in cases of complying with crew requirements;
- using electronic devices and communication means not switched to "Airplane Mode" during taxiing, takeoff, climb, descent, and landing of the aircraft.
13.4. Passenger responsibility for violating the Rules of Conduct:
- on domestic air routes of the Russian Federation - in accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation;
- on international air routes - in accordance with the requirements of international air law and the legislation in force in the state of landing, regardless of in which state the aircraft used for the flight is registered or operated;
- if the offense is committed outside the Russian Federation but is directed against interests protected by the legislation of the Russian Federation, and the offender has not been punished accordingly on the territory of a foreign state, in accordance with Article 12 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, they are subject to such punishment upon returning to Russia.
14.1.1. The unaccompanied minor service on the Airline's flights applies to children aged 5 to 12. At the request of a parent (or legal representative), the unaccompanied minor service may also be applied to children over 12 years old.
The child's age is determined as of the date of transportation commencement from the airport (point) of departure specified in the transportation document.
Booking and payment for the service is possible no later than 3 hours before the flight check-in time:
- at the place of ticket purchase;
- in the Airline's own sales offices and authorized ticket sales agencies;
- through the Airline's call center;
- through the feedback form on the Airline's website;
- through social networks and messengers listed on the official website of the Airline, no later than 3 hours before the flight check-in time.
14.1.2. Parents or legal representatives of the child complete in 4 copies the "Notification of Special Handling" on the Airline's form (Appendix 5), obtained at the place of service purchase.
The "Notification of Special Handling" is filled out manually and submitted during flight check-in. All entries are made clearly, legibly, in block letters with a ballpoint pen.
14.1.3. Unaccompanied children are accepted for transportation if the following requirements are met by the legal representatives:
- availability of a completed and signed "Notification of Special Handling" in 4 copies;
- presence of an accompanying person at the airport until the flight departure;
- availability of a meeting person at the arrival airport.
Unaccompanied children requiring special services, such as ordering a wheelchair for moving around the airport, assistance or manipulations for hygiene or toilet use, medical manipulations, or additional care, are not accepted for transportation under the Airline's supervision.
14.1.4. Check-in for unaccompanied children is performed only at the airport check-in counter. The Airline's representative or authorized agent accepts the child from the accompanying person (parents or authorized person), signs the Notification, and bears personal responsibility for the child until handing them over to the responsible flight attendant.
14.1.5. The checked baggage of an unaccompanied child is marked with a special baggage tag (if provided at the airport).
14.1.6. The Airline's representative or authorized agent is responsible for the child and accompanies them through all subsequent airport service procedures until handing the child over to the meeting persons at the airport.
14.1.7. After passing through passport control, the Airline's representative or authorized agent organizes the handover of the child to the meeting persons in the arrival hall. The handover procedure includes:
- organizing the delivery of the child's baggage until it is handed over to the meeting person;
- verifying the identity of the meeting person and checking documents against the data specified in the Notification/Declaration;
- handing over the child, their "Hand Luggage," personal item, and checked baggage to the meeting persons with documentation.
14.1.8. The person specified in the application to meet the child must be at the airport by the flight arrival time and have a valid identity document.
14.1.9. In the absence of a meeting person and the need to accommodate the unaccompanied child at the destination airport, the expenses for the child's maintenance are paid by the sending or receiving party.
14.2.1 A passenger has the right to carry one child aged no older than 2 years without providing a separate seat.
14.2.2 An infant under two years of age, as well as a disabled child under twelve years of age, is transported only accompanied by an adult passenger or a passenger who, in accordance with the civil legislation of the Russian Federation, has acquired full legal capacity before reaching the age of eighteen (being the parents or legal representatives of the child).
14.2.3 Consent for a child to travel abroad is issued in accordance with the requirements of Article 20 of the Federal Law of August 15, 1996, No. 114-FZ "On the Procedure for Exiting and Entering the Russian Federation": A minor citizen of the Russian Federation leaves the Russian Federation together with at least one of the parents (legal representatives). In case a minor citizen of the Russian Federation leaves the Russian Federation unaccompanied, they must have, in addition to a passport, a notarized consent from the said persons for the minor citizen of the Russian Federation to travel abroad, indicating the duration of the trip and the state(s) they intend to visit.
14.2.4 Children under 2 years of age transported without a separate seat are placed on the laps of accompanying persons, who hold them firmly with their hands. The lap of the accompanying person is not considered a "separate seat" or "separate chair," so the requirement to fasten with a seat belt does not apply to children under 2 years of age on the laps of accompanying persons. The passenger themselves, seated in the chair, are fastened with a seat belt.
14.2.5 The use of a certified child restraint device on board the aircraft for a child under 2 years of age is permitted provided that a separate passenger seat is purchased for the child on board the aircraft. The airline does not provide child car seats (cradles).
Child restraint devices include child seats and child restraint systems.
The child seat and child restraint system must have one of the following manufacturer's markings:
- This restraint is certified for use in motor vehicle and aircraft;
- Approved for aircraft only;
- Safety Standards TSO-C100B/TSO-C100C.
Child restraint devices must not be placed in aisle seats or in rows near emergency exits.
14.2.6 Use of a child seat (cradle)
The possibility of using a personal child seat on board the aircraft is provided under the condition of booking a separate passenger seat for a child under 2 years of age. The airline does not provide child seats.
The child seat (cradle) must have the manufacturer's marking confirming its suitability for use in air transport. The child seat is secured on the passenger seat for the entire duration of the flight using the standard seat belt, facing either forward or backward in the direction of flight.
On board the aircraft, it is recommended to place the child seat:
- on window seats;
- next to the responsible person accompanying the infant or child using the child restraint device;
- the child seat is secured on the passenger seat in such a way as not to obstruct the evacuation of any passenger or safe access to emergency equipment;
- the child seat is installed on the passenger seat and secured with standard seat belts in accordance with the safety requirements of the child restraint device manufacturer.
- if a personal certified car seat (cradle) is not available for placing a child under 2 years of age on a separate seat, passengers may be denied transportation.
14.2.7 Use of the AmSafe child restraint system
The use of the child restraint system is possible under the condition of booking a separate passenger seat for the child.
For securing children in a passenger seat on board the airline's aircraft, a child restraint system (Child Restraint System) is provided.
The AmSafe child restraint system complies with safety standard TSO-C100C and is designed for securing children aged from one to four years, weighing from 10 to 20 kg, and with a height of no more than 100 cm in a passenger seat. At this age, children are large enough to sit independently in a seat but still too small for the standard seat belt to secure them properly.
14.2.8 Children under 2 years of age must be secured during takeoff, landing, and whenever the "Fasten Seat Belts" sign is on, using a child restraint device, or the adult passenger must hold the child on their lap, fastening the seat belt only around themselves (not around the infant).
14.2.9 It is prohibited to fasten an infant with one seat belt together with an adult.
14.2.10 Placement of a child in a row is carried out in accordance with the number of available oxygen masks. It is prohibited to place an infant's seat near an emergency exit or where it may block passengers' access to the exit.
14.2.11 If an adult is traveling with more than one child under two years of age, one child may sit on the accompanying adult's lap, while other children are transported with separate seats provided for them.
14.2.12 For children aged from 2 to 12 years, booking a separate seat is always required.
14.2.13 It is prohibited to fasten two children with one seat belt.
14.2.14 If a child cannot be properly secured because the seat belt is too long, place a blanket or pillow between their back and the seat back, if available on board the aircraft or in the passenger's carry-on luggage.
14.2.15 Each child aged from 2 to 12 years, regardless of the applied fare, is provided with a separate seat in the aircraft cabin and is allowed to carry baggage free of charge according to the norm established by the air carriage contract. If baggage is carried in excess of the free baggage allowance in these cases, it is paid for according to the applicable baggage tariff.
14.2.16 Passengers with children are prohibited from being assigned seats near emergency exits and emergency rescue equipment.
14.2.17 A child under twelve years of age and the accompanying passenger are provided with adjacent seats on board the aircraft in the same row, not separated by an aisle (hereinafter referred to as adjacent passenger seats), in accordance with the service class and compliance with flight safety requirements, without additional charge.
Additional charges for selecting and providing adjacent passenger seats during check-in in accordance with the service class on board the aircraft and compliance with flight safety requirements are not applied.
14.3.1. The transportation of a pregnant woman is carried out under the condition that the airline is not responsible for the consequences to the pregnant woman. For transportation, at the check-in counter, the passenger fills out the Passenger Guarantee Obligation (Appendix No. 3).
Pregnant women traveling from the 28th week provide a medical certificate with the execution of the Passenger Guarantee Obligation (Appendix No. 3). The Guarantee Obligation is handed over to the airline representative.
Note: expectant mothers should fasten seat belts under the belly.
14.3.2. For children born before the due date, having a medical certificate and category MEDA, the rules for sick passengers/persons with disabilities apply.
14.4.1. The airline is not responsible for the refusal of entry/exit to a country for a passenger.
14.4.2. The passenger is obliged, at the request of the airline or state authorities, to return to the point of departure or another destination allowing unimpeded entry, due to the country's refusal to accept this passenger, regardless of whether this country is the destination or transit point.
14.4.3. At the request of the airline, a passenger who has been denied entry into a country is obliged to compensate the airline for the costs associated with transporting such a passenger.
14.4.4. Deported (expelled) persons under custody/escort are accepted for transportation only on flights without intermediate stops.
14.5.1. In accordance with Article 106.1 of the Air Code of the Russian Federation, disability and the presence of limitations in passengers cannot be grounds for requiring documents confirming the health status of such passengers in connection with their disability or limited mobility. All services are provided to the passenger only upon their request and cannot be imposed. The passenger notifies the airline of the need for such services:
- at the place of ticket purchase;
- in the airline's own sales offices and authorized ticket sales agencies;
- through the airline's call center;
- through the feedback form on the airline's website;
- through social networks and messengers indicated on the official website of the airline.
14.5.2. If a passenger with disabilities or other persons with limited mobility does not notify the airline of their limitations in the manner provided for in paragraph 2.6 of the Rules, the airline cannot guarantee the provision of appropriate conditions for air transportation.
14.5.3. At the airport, the following services are provided to passengers with disabilities or other persons with limited mobility by the airport operator, certified for airport activities in passenger servicing, free of charge:
- escort and assistance when moving around the airport (including at boarding and disembarking points), check-in and baggage registration for air transportation, pre-flight and post-flight inspections, border and customs control at the airport, boarding and disembarking from the aircraft, baggage collection upon arrival;
- provision of special means of transportation (including wheelchairs) allowing the movement of passengers with disabilities or other persons with limited mobility around the airport;
- duplication of sound and visual information provided at the airport and necessary for familiarization by passengers with disabilities or other persons with limited mobility;
- boarding and disembarking from the aircraft, including using a special lifting device (ambulift), for passengers with disabilities or other persons with limited mobility who are unable to move independently;
- provision of a wheelchair on a temporary basis to passengers with disabilities or other persons with limited mobility who are unable to move independently in case of delay in the delivery of their personal mobility aid to the destination or intermediate airport, or loss or damage (spoilage) of this aid during air transportation;
- assistance in walking a guide dog for passengers with visual impairments.
14.6.1. The transportation of convicted persons and persons in custody on board the aircraft is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation, observing measures of transport (aviation) security.
14.6.2. Booking for the transportation of this category of passengers is made no later than 24 hours in advance:
- at the place of ticket purchase;
- in the airline's own sales offices and authorized ticket sales agencies;
- through the airline's call center;
- through the feedback form on the airline's website;
- through social networks and messengers indicated on the official website of the airline.
14.6.3. Convicted persons and persons in custody are transported under escort, with at least three escorts accompanying one person.
14.6.4. Convicted persons and persons in custody are constantly under the supervision of the escort during the flight, including when using the toilet.
14.6.5. Smoking accessories are confiscated and, together with hand luggage, are placed in the baggage compartment of the aircraft. Personal belongings and baggage are transported in the baggage (cargo) compartment of the aircraft.
14.6.6. Escorting of convicted persons and persons in custody (except for women and minors) during the flight is carried out in handcuffs.
14.6.7. Toilet visits are carried out upon their request, one at a time, after a thorough inspection of the toilet, under the guard of a sentry and the chief of the guard or his assistant. The toilet door remains slightly open when a male detainee is inside, and handcuffs are removed.
Terms and abbreviations
Airline – Joint Stock Company "Smartavia Airlines"
Booking – reservation of a passenger seat and cargo capacity on the aircraft for the transportation of a passenger and baggage on a specific flight and date.
Air carriage contract – the carrier's obligation to deliver the passenger, baggage, cargo, or mail to the destination airport (point) and hand it over to the recipient within the established timeframe, and the passenger's and sender's obligation to pay for the transportation at the established tariff and comply with the rules in force at the time of transportation. Each air carriage contract is certified by transportation documents - a ticket, baggage receipt, cargo or mail waybill, as well as a miscellaneous charges order.
Identity document:
- passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation;
- foreign passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation;

Airline call center – a division of the airline responsible for processing incoming calls and informing passengers via voice communication channels (call center contacts are posted on the airline's website).
Itinerary receipt – a document certifying the conclusion of a contract between the passenger and the carrier for the transportation of the passenger, received upon payment and issuance of the air ticket.
Passenger – an individual, except for crew members, who is or is to be transported on an aircraft under an air carriage contract.
Passenger tariff – the cost of transporting a passenger between the point of departure and the point of destination.
Boarding pass – a document issued to a passenger accepted for transportation on an aircraft, indicating the initials and surname of the passenger, flight number, departure date, boarding end time, boarding gate number, and seat number on board the aircraft.

Cargo capacity – part of the passenger cabin, baggage, and cargo compartments of the aircraft used for commercial loading.
Tariff – the carriage charge is determined based on the monetary amount established by the airline for the transportation of a passenger and/or baggage between two points on the transportation route.
Transport security - the state of protection of transport infrastructure facilities and vehicles from acts of unlawful interference. Rules for transporting liquids, items and substances in checked baggage and carry-on luggage
1. General restrictions
Baggage must not include:
- items that pose a danger to the aircraft, persons or property on board, as listed in the "Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air" by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and in the "Dangerous Goods Regulations" by the International Air Transport Association (IATA);
- items whose transportation is prohibited by current legislation or laws, regulations and requirements in the countries of departure, arrival, or transit;
- items that, in the reasonable opinion of the Airline, are unsuitable for transportation due to being dangerous, unsafe because of their weight, dimensions, shape or origin, or are fragile or perishable, taking into account, among other things, the type of aircraft operated.
2. List of dangerous substances and items, explosives, weapons, ammunition prohibited for transportation on board an aircraft by crew members and passengers in checked baggage and personal belongings
2.1. Explosives, detonating devices and items containing them:
- gunpowder;
- live ammunition (including small-caliber);
- gas weapon cartridges;
- hunting caps (primers);
- pyrotechnic devices: signal and flare rockets, signal cartridges, landing flares, smoke cartridges (flares), detonator matches, sparklers, railroad flares;

3. List of dangerous substances and items, explosives, weapons, ammunition permitted for transportation on board an aircraft by crew members and passengers in checked baggage and personal belongings (subject to required conditions)
3.1. In checked baggage:
- civilian, service, as well as combat hand-held firearms and melee weapons in accordance with Federal Law No. 150-FZ of December 13, 1996 "On Weapons" in the manner established by the legislation of the Russian Federation;
- crossbows, spearguns, sabers, swords, cutlasses, yataghans, broadswords, rapiers, bayonets, daggers, knives: hunting knives, knives with retractable blades, with locking mechanisms, imitations of any type of weapon;
- household knives (scissors) with a blade length exceeding 60 mm;

- aerosols intended for sports or household use, the release valves of which are protected by caps to prevent spontaneous release of contents in containers with a capacity of not more than 0.5 kg or 500 ml - not more than 2 kg or 2 liters per passenger.

3.2. When transported in personal belongings:
- medical mercury thermometer, mercury barometer or thermometer, packed in a sturdy outer packaging kit containing a padded inner liner or bag made of durable impermeable or puncture-resistant material that does not allow mercury to leak, preventing mercury leakage from the cargo item regardless of its position
- dry ice for cooling perishable products - not more than 2.5 kg per passenger;
- 3% hydrogen peroxide - not more than 100 ml per passenger,
- liquids, gels and aerosols classified as non-hazardous: in containers with a capacity of not more than 100 ml (or equivalent capacity in other units of volume measurement), packed in a securely sealed transparent plastic bag with a volume of not more than 1 liter - one bag per passenger, including:
- medicines, special dietary products, baby food, including breast milk, in quantities necessary for the duration of the flight;
- medicines containing narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors, with documents provided for by international treaties of the Russian Federation, including acts constituting the law of the Eurasian Economic Union, and (or) the legislation of the Russian Federation, confirming the prescription of these medicines to the passenger indicating their name and quantity, in quantities necessary for the duration of the flight;
- biological materials if the passenger has documents provided for by international treaties of the Russian Federation, including acts constituting the law of the Eurasian Economic Union, and (or) the legislation of the Russian Federation, establishing the procedure for the transportation of biological materials;
- liquids purchased in duty-free shops at the air transport infrastructure facility or on board the aircraft and packed in a sealed (sealed) plastic bag that ensures identification of access to the contents of the bag during the flight, which has confirmation that this purchase was made in duty-free shops of the air transport infrastructure facility or on board the aircraft on the day(s) of the trip;
4. Transportation of liquids
4.1. The rules for transporting liquids provided for in this section apply only to carry-on luggage.
4.2. Liquids permitted for transportation in carry-on luggage:
- water and other drinks, soups, syrups, jams, honey,
- perfume products, including perfumes, colognes, toilet water,
- creams, lotions, oils,
- gels, including hair and shower gels,
- thick pastes, including toothpaste,
- aerosols,
- contents of pressurized containers, including shaving foam,
- other foams and deodorants,
- liquid-solid mixtures,
- mascara for eyelashes and eyebrows,
- any other substances and substances of similar consistency.
4.3. All liquids listed in clause 4.2. of this Appendix must:
- have a volume of each package of MAXIMUM 100 ML. Liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 100 ml are not accepted for transportation even if the container is only partially filled;
- be placed in a transparent resealable plastic bag measuring 18×20 cm, the total volume of liquids in the bag (by package volume) should not exceed 1 liter.
4.4. Each passenger can have only one plastic bag in their carry-on luggage. The passenger can receive the plastic bag at the departure airport directly in the pre-flight inspection areas.
4.5. If the Passenger needs to take the above-mentioned liquids as carry-on luggage, it is strongly recommended to pack these liquids in an appropriate plastic bag or, at least, prepare them for such packaging before arriving at the departure airport.
4.6. The passenger may carry baby food, breast milk, medicines and dietary food in carry-on luggage in quantities necessary for the duration of the flight. Airport transport security personnel may ask the Passenger to provide proof that they will be needed during the flight (for example, a medical certificate, prescription).
4.7. Liquids packed according to the Rules, as well as baby and dietary food, medicines must be presented at the transport security inspection sectors of the airport separately from other items constituting unchecked baggage. All other liquids permitted for air transportation but not meeting the above requirements must be placed in checked baggage in advance.
4.8. Goods containing liquids purchased in the duty-free area will be packaged in bags and sealed. These bags must not be opened until arrival at the final destination.
4.9. When inspecting carry-on luggage at the departure airport, authorized personnel may ask the Passenger to open the bag and conduct a manual inspection of its contents. Therefore, the Passenger is strongly advised not to wrap carry-on luggage in packaging tape.
5. Transportation of weapons, ammunition and special equipment
The transportation of weapons and ammunition is paid according to established tariffs. Adding the service to a booking not made on the Airline's website is not allowed.

7. Transportation of ashes
7.1. Transportation of ashes in the aircraft cabin is not permitted. The urn with ashes must be transported strictly through the cargo terminal as cargo.
7.2. When completing pre-flight formalities, it is necessary to present documents confirming the origin of the contents of the urn (death certificate and certificate from the crematorium).
8. Medicines
The airline does not provide storage and cooling of medicines requiring special transportation on board the aircraft.
9. Rules for transporting batteries
9.1. The possibility of air transportation of a battery depends on the type of battery, configuration and specific power (Wh, watt*hour), lithium content (for lithium-ion batteries) and other parameters and is determined taking into account the provisions of the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air Doc 9284 of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
For flight safety, the Passenger must familiarize themselves with the detailed instructions for carrying batteries on board the aircraft and take these instructions into account (clauses 9.6 – 9.7 of Appendix 2).
9.2. Electronic devices powered by batteries must be completely turned off (not in standby or low-power mode) and placed in protective packaging to prevent spontaneous activation or damage.
Suitable protection can be provided in the form of a hard suitcase and/or cushioning material such as clothing to prevent movement.
9.3. In devices (equipment) powered by batteries and capable of generating excessive heat, batteries and heating elements must be isolated by removing the heating element, battery or other components.
9.4. Portable electronic smoking devices powered by batteries (electronic cigarettes, pipes, vaporizers, nicotine delivery systems, etc.) can only be transported in carry-on luggage.
If the power source for such a device is a lithium battery, the battery must comply with the requirements provided for in clauses 9.6 (9.6.1, 9.6.2,9.6.4).
Charging devices and/or batteries on board the aircraft is prohibited.
The Passenger must take measures to prevent accidental activation of the device's heating element on board the aircraft.
9.5. Small personal mobility devices powered by lithium batteries (monowheels, Segways (mini Segways), hoverboards, gyro scooters, etc.) are transported exclusively as Checked baggage provided the lithium battery is removed (extracted).
A lithium battery removed (extracted) from a mobility device is allowed to be transported in carry-on luggage provided it meets the requirements specified in clause 9.6.
9.6. Lithium batteries (including portable electronic devices powered by lithium batteries)
9.6.1. Each battery must be of a type that meets the requirements of each test described in subsection 38.3 of Part III of the UN Manual of Tests and Criteria.
9.6.2. The lithium content in a lithium-metal battery must not exceed 2 g.
9.6.3. The specific power of a lithium-ion battery must not exceed 100 Wh.
9.6.4. With the permission of the Airline, the following are allowed for transportation:
- a lithium-metal battery for portable medical electronic devices with a lithium content exceeding 2 g but not more than 8 g;
- a lithium-ion battery with a specific power exceeding 100 Wh but not more than 160 Wh.
9.6.5. Devices equipped with batteries exceeding:
- a lithium content of 0.3 g – for lithium-metal batteries; or
- a specific power of 2.7 Wh – for lithium-ion batteries;
- must be transported in carry-on luggage unless the battery(-ies) is(are) removed from such a device.
9.6.6. One Passenger can transport no more than two spare batteries meeting the requirements of subclause (c).
Spare batteries, including power banks, as well as batteries removed from devices, are transported as carry-on luggage and must be separately protected in such a way as to prevent the possibility of a short circuit (by placing them in retail packaging, or otherwise isolating the terminals, for example, by taping the exposed terminals, or placing each battery in a separate plastic bag or protective case).
9.6.7. When transporting batteries in Checked baggage, the battery must be inside the device (equipment).
Transportation of spare batteries or batteries removed (extracted) from a device (equipment) in Checked baggage is prohibited.
9.6.8. Devices (equipment) powered by a lithium-ion battery with a specific power exceeding 160 Wh are not permitted for transportation in carry-on luggage and Checked baggage.
9.7. Non-spillable liquid batteries, nickel-metal hydride and dry-charged batteries
Transportation of a battery is permitted in carry-on luggage and/or in checked baggage subject to the following conditions:
9.7.1. Non-spillable battery
Must meet the requirements of special provision A67 to the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air (Doc 9284).
The battery voltage must not exceed 12 V, and the specific power must not exceed 100 Wh.
The battery must be protected from short circuit by effective insulation of exposed terminals.
One passenger can transport no more than two spare batteries.
If the battery is in the equipment, the equipment must either be protected from spontaneous activation, or each battery must be disconnected and its exposed terminals insulated.
9.7.2. Dry-charged battery
Must meet the requirements of special provision A123, nickel-metal hydride battery – the requirements of special provision A199 to the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air (Doc 9284).
10. Rules for transporting electric wheelchairs
10.1. Wheelchairs and similar mobility devices powered by batteries and used by passengers with disabilities (hereinafter referred to as wheelchairs) are transported in accordance with the requirements of the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air Doc 9284 of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), as set out in clause 10.5.
10.2. Electric wheelchairs are registered for transportation exclusively as checked baggage at the check-in counter at the departure airport.
10.3. The passenger must provide the Airline in advance with information about the type of installed battery and the procedure for handling the wheelchair.
The passenger is recommended to have documents for the wheelchair (passport, manufacturer's instructions, etc.) containing information, including about the characteristics of the installed battery, about ensuring proper protection of the battery by the design of the wheelchair, and recommended methods of transporting the battery.
At the request of the Airline, the Passenger must confirm the type of battery, as well as its characteristics.
In all cases where the transportation of a wheelchair and/or battery requires disconnection, removal, isolation of the battery (terminals), packaging, etc., such actions are performed by the Passenger independently, or at the request for the need for services – by the servicing organization.
Passengers must have with them a set of keys/tools for disconnecting the terminals of the wheelchair battery, as well as packaging for the battery in accordance with the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air ICAO.
10.4. When transporting a battery in registered baggage (if battery transport in the baggage compartment is permitted):
- the battery terminals must be protected from short circuits, for example, by being attached to the battery casing;
- the mobility device must be prepared for transport to prevent unintentional activation;
- the battery must either be adequately protected from damage by the mobility device's structure and securely attached to the device, or removed from the mobility device in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions;
- electrical circuits must be insulated;
- a battery removed from the mobility device must be packed in a sturdy, rigid packaging kit.
10.5. Depending on the battery type, the following requirements apply:
10.5.1. Non-spillable liquid battery
Battery requirements:
- the battery complies with special provision A67;
- the battery does not contain any liquid in a free or unabsorbed state.
- with an installed battery (if the wheelchair design provides adequate battery protection): the battery must be securely attached to the wheelchair, and electrical circuits must be insulated by the passenger in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions;
- with a removed battery (if the wheelchair design does not provide adequate battery protection): the battery must be removed by the passenger in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and placed in a sturdy, rigid packaging kit.
- no more than one battery.
10.5.2. Nickel-metal hydride battery
Battery requirements:
- the battery complies with special provision A199.
- with an installed battery (if the wheelchair design provides adequate battery protection): the battery must be securely attached to the wheelchair, and electrical circuits must be insulated by the passenger in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions;
- with a removed battery (if the wheelchair design does not provide adequate battery protection): the battery must be removed by the passenger in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and placed in a sturdy, rigid packaging kit.
- no more than two nickel-metal hydride or dry batteries.
10.5.3. Dry battery (dry-charged)
Battery requirements:
- the battery complies with special provision A123.
- with an installed battery (if the wheelchair design provides adequate battery protection): the battery must be securely attached to the wheelchair, and electrical circuits must be insulated by the passenger in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions;
- with a removed battery (if the wheelchair design does not provide adequate battery protection): the battery must be removed by the passenger in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and placed in a sturdy, rigid packaging kit.
- no more than two nickel-metal hydride or dry batteries.
10.5.4. Spillable battery
Battery requirements:
- the battery is equipped with vent caps to prevent spillage, if possible.
- with an installed battery (if the wheelchair design provides adequate battery protection): the battery must be securely attached to the wheelchair, and electrical circuits must be insulated by the passenger in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
- with a removed battery (if the wheelchair design does not provide adequate battery protection or if the wheelchair cannot be kept upright): the battery must be removed by the passenger in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and placed in a sturdy, rigid packaging kit, with the following conditions:
a). the packaging kit must be leak-proof, resistant to chemical effects of the electrolyte, and protected from tipping over;
b). the battery must be protected from short circuits, stored upright inside the packaging kit, and surrounded by sufficient absorbent material to absorb the entire volume of the electrolyte liquid;
c). the packaging kit must be labeled "BATTERY, WET, WITH WHEELCHAIR" or "BATTERY, WET, WITH MOBILITY AID," along with the "Corrosive Substance" hazard label and the "Cargo Orientation" handling label.
Number of spare batteries permitted for transport: transport of spare batteries is not permitted.
10.5.5. Lithium-ion battery
Battery requirements:
- the battery meets the requirements of each test in the UN Manual of Tests and Criteria, Part III, subsection 38.3.
- with an installed battery (if the wheelchair design provides adequate battery protection): the battery must be protected from damage by the wheelchair's structure and securely attached to it, and electrical circuits must be insulated by the passenger in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions;
- with a removed battery (if the wheelchair design does not provide adequate battery protection): the battery must be removed by the passenger in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, protected from damage, and the battery terminals must be protected from short circuits;
- the removed battery must be transported in the aircraft cabin. Its energy capacity must not exceed 300 Wh.
- only one spare battery with an energy capacity not exceeding 300 Wh, or two spare batteries, each with an energy capacity not exceeding 160 Wh, is permitted. Transport is allowed only in the aircraft cabin.
